7 Reasons to Shop at Hope
Outreach Thrift Store
-
Greater purchasing
power. You
get more for your money. All merchandise is methodically priced
according to our discounting inventory control system all the way to our
23 cent Clearance Corner.
-
The goods
are in good condition. Many of the clothes are gently worn name
brands. Some are brand new which still have the manufacturer's tag.
-
This is
the largest thrift store in Northwest Oklahoma with the greatest
selection of reusable items.
Enough said.
-
Unique products not
found or sold elsewhere. Records,
sports cards, antiques,
vintage jewelry, games, china, unique t-shirts, and cool jackets, too.
-
It’s
environmentally-friendly. We reuse and recycle. Fewer resources are
redirected from ending up in a
landfill.
-
It’s fun.
Bargain hunters find the Hope Outreach Thrift Store a little piece of
heaven. We are thrilled to see what our "treasure hunters" find in the
store.
-
You’re
supporting our assistive ministry programs. You help feed, clothe, and
empower our ministries to help people help
themselves.
How to Shop at our Thrift
Stores
-
Stop in frequently. We stock over 1,000 new products on the
shelves everyday. If you’re looking for something specific, don’t be afraid
to return to the same store a few times and leave empty-handed when your
item isn’t there.
-
Be patient. Don't be disappointed if you do not find something
that you like, there is always next time.
-
Be prepared to rummage. By nature, our thrift stores are crowded,
especially on Saturday. That’s okay, it just means it will take a little
more time to find what you’re looking for. But when you get a designer
sweater for $4, it’s well worth it.
- Price
tags are color coded. Each week the colored price tags are rotated
and discounted. The last discount is at the 23 cent Clearance Corner,
with exception to appliances and furniture.
-
Women's clothing is displayed by color. Most
clothing is grouped according to style category (sweater, top, blouse,
etc.) and by color for your convenience.
-
Check the garment for stains, rips, zippers that do not work,
etc. Most things are perfectly fine; however, it would be wise to check
them.
-
Give back. Don’t forget to drop off the things you no longer use or
need when you’re at the thrift store. Most of us have a pile of stuff to
give away “someday” — old clothes, an unused piece of furniture, a box
of books pulled from the shelf to make more room. When you’re heading to
the thrift store, pack it up and take it with you.
